Content Management System
I'm creating a content management system (CMS) to be used on several of my sites. I first decided to make one so it would be much easier for me to create/edit/remove/etc pages, content, links, and anything else in a website. My first attempt was on this very site, but I've decided to completely redo the project so it could be more well done. Since this site was getting a new design around the same time I decided to make a new CMS, they were both introduced to yilduz.com at the same time.
Yilduz.com will be, in a way, a guinea pig site for this CMS. Using this site, I will refine the code, add features, and make it more user-friendly. Once I get the CMS to a point that it will be easily used on a new website, I'll start using it to create mini-sites on my domains that are only parked. I'll also use it to run a couple of full websites I'd like to have up and going. Once I have done that and feel that the code is flawless, I'll release it to be used by anyone that would like to use it.
My goals for the CMS:
-to be easily used on any website
-easily modify the content of any page
-add/remove/change any link on any page
-choose a layout for the site, and have the ability to change it later
-the ability to change any icon, banner, etc
-easily place ad banners at any spot on the site
-create/modify/remove/rearrange sidebar headings and links
-fully functional blog with the ability for guests to comment
-create tables on any page
-use the main page for a "preview" of any of the content within the site
-add information to the footer of the site
-add/remove/change the meta tags of any page
-many other features
